Caring For Your Pet

Are you bringing in a puppy into your home?  Having a puppy is good since you will have something to take care and play with.  Puppies love to bond, and they adore being patted and they take pleasure in being caresses by their master.  Giving your child a puppy is a good way of showing him how to be responsible. 

Kids will take responsibility more seriously if they are to be entrusted with a life.  But, you first have to make sure that your child is ready to care for the pet.  A pet needs responsible caring, thus, if your child is still not able to bathe himself on his own, it would be wiser to postpone the giving of a pet.

A puppy likes to chew and chew, and most of the time, they would chew and destroy whatever it is that they lay their eyes on.  Also, puppies have the tendency to just pee anywhere, be on in your couch, your carpet, or even on your bed.  They also eat things which are not supposed to be eaten, thus you have to watch over them if you do not want them to ingest something harmful. 

Keep them someplace safe where they could play without hurting themselves or breaking anything.  A kennel that is large enough would be a good, warm place for it to rest and sleep.  Kennels should be regularly cleaned to prevent the spread of germs which can cause sickness of your puppy.

Cats, on the other hand, like to be caressed.
